Oak Point Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so reservations are not accepted. It features both 30 amp electric/water and non-electric sites, which are nestled among tall pines for shade and privacy. Sites include fire rings and picnic tables, and clean shower houses with flush toilets are available. The Electric Sites are open year round. And the non-electric open from March 1 to December 15.
The 82-acre lake allows for fishing and non-motorized boating, with electric motors only permitted. A boat launch is available, and kayak/paddleboat rentals are offered when the beach is open. The sandy swimming beach is open seasonally from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend with a daily fee.
The easy, 3-mile Lake Trail loops around the entire lake and is great for hiking and mountain biking. The area has almost 20 miles of trails in total, which connect to other sites like Dixon Springs State Park.
Several lakeshore picnic areas with grills and a large group shelter are available for day use. The picnic and boat launch areas are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m..
